Susi is a Master Weaver well known for her meticulously finished creations, that range from the practical to the whimsical, from the traditional to her own innovative designs.
She is a graduate (with distinction) of Fibre Arts at St. Lawrence College.
Susi has a strong sense of form, colour and design, that together with attention to detail and her vast experience in most weaving techniques have garnered her numerous awards in many exhibitions. She creates truly "one-of-a-kind" items.
Her traditional work includes the reproduction of coverlets, floor coverings and window dressings. She was commissioned to design a tartan for the Township of Lanark Highlands that is registered at the Scottish Tartan Society in Scotland. Her work can also been seen in the historic Allan Macpherson House, Napanee, with such items as the sheer curtains in most of its windows and the runner on the main staircase.
Susi's whimsical wall hangings grace many interiors and her table coverings add elegance to any setting. Numerous people wear her linen pouches.
While Susi's focus is predominantly on weaving, she expresses her creativity in other fibre techniques as well, such as tatting, crocheting, and knitting.
Susi welcomes special commissions.
